Join us for the 1st Annual St. James Academy Foxhound 5K and Family Fun Run/Walk presented by Growth Coach to benefit Paul’s Place on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Stick around for the post race festivities and refreshments.

St. James Academy is intentionally a K-8 school with a strong curriculum that builds upon each year, preventing gaps or holes and ensuring nine consistent years of academic preparation for success in high schools of choice and beyond. Activities in the classroom foster creativity and promote exploration. Lessons are built to encourage open-ended conversations, inquiry, and creativity while balancing the importance of developmental concepts and skills. The Academy is dedicated to providing a program of excellence while developing each student’s highest potential in intellect, character, and physical well-being. When a child joins the Academy, we welcome the whole family into our community.

Paul’s Place is a leader for change, improving the quality of life, in several Southwest Baltimore communities. They provides programs, services, and support that strengthen individuals and families, fostering hope, personal dignity and growth. For more than thirty years Paul’s Place, which began as a small soup kitchen in the basement of St. Paul the Apostle Church on Washington Boulevard, has been serving the community. Paul’s Place now offers more than two dozen services and programs to low-income individuals and families. They plan to continue to expand those programs and to partner with other organizations to improve the quality of life in Southwest Baltimore. Their long-standing relationship with students, teachers and parents from St. James is just one example of a mutually beneficial partnership.
